Hello all, name is Darrell and I am from Woodlawn, TN (just outside Clarksville, about 45 miles west of Nashville)
I am in the Army, been here for 4 years. I just picked up a project truck in the summer and just found this website doing some research.
Truck is a 1977 K10 Stepside with a 6" lift and 39.5" Super Swampers on 15" Mickey Thompson rims.
Truck is in rough shape, but is drivable.
Plans are to pull the bed off and get her cleaned up and put new wood and metal in the back. I need to put all new metal in the floor of the cab, rewire the entire truck, new doors, fenders, inner fenders and some other misc stuff.
I picked the truck up for a descent price, just over what the rims and tires are worth alone, so have some wiggle room in the parts dept. Money is going to be my biggest issue though for that.
i just removed the quadra-junk carb that was on there and installed a Holley 600 CFM carb, but having some issues getting it tuned and running right.
Here are some pics.
Good to meet you all and hope to be part of the community.
