Bought a clean ‘82 C10 off of a coworker.
I’ve been pestering him to sell it to me for years! He finally caved after his DD PUp was totaled by Mother Nature (hail storm) because he couldn’t get both trucks in his garage.
He sold me his baby. It hadn’t moved in 8 years, but was running.
He bought 1 tire for it and after a 2 mile test run it blew another tire… I may be staying with the too wide tires for the short term.
It’s a 1 family truck. And was resprayed GM quasar blue.
After a rebuild of the carb and swapping out the tanks( and rubber lines) she started right up once I got a good fuel pump for her.
She’s gonna be an off n on project.
I can already tell the wiring is in need, as is the interior.
But, next two steps are rebuild the steering box to keep it from dribbling on the floor as well as tail shaft seal( took 3quarts to get her to full) then a paint shop to touch up a few paint chips that are down to metal.
