Unfortunately, I can’t read the numbers on the old one…
Is that a single element bulb? Normally a bulb with 2 contacts on the base has 2 elements. Look in the lamp socket itself see if it has 2 contacts in other or 1 contact.

It’s a two contact bulb, my ‘78 has the same dome light.
LMC has the regular or the LED bulb..

pics it looks like an 1142 bulb.
Both have a BA15D (double contact bayonet) base. 1004 and 1142 are interchangeable most of the time. 1142 would be brighter, but higher heat output (could potentially damage fixtures). 1142 was used in the cargo light.

Interesting that a single filament bulb uses a double-contact base. If they make an LED replacement I'd go with it.

My 1989 had different types. I switched them all (dome and reading lights in overhead) for LEDs because one was burned out and when I went to replace it, the plastic housing was slightly deformed and blackened. Looked like a fire tried to start. LED heat output is so much less. Plus I can leave them on as long as I need and not even notice the battery drain.

I had a dome light bulb issue once on an older rig.

This was the solution:
