Help with fuel guage please

ANY Help would be great. Cant get fuel guage to read anything but the 3 oclock reading. I have deleted passenger tank on my 82 k10. Tested the sending unit and it is good, cleaned all grounds from the battery to the frame, unplugged all the wires to the transfer switch and pluged in the pink wire to the sending unit. I have an ohms reading of about 33 ( which is about right for the amount of fuel in the tank) at the pink wire going into the firewall but guage still reads past full. I have replaced the guage. Does the wiring go through the tank selector switch in the dash? Going to tank the cluster out in the moring but looking for advice. thanks

3 o'clock means you have an open circuit. Best i can do.

Yes the sender wires go through the dash switch.
