Headlights start to blink off and on

I was driving my truck and my headlights started to blink off an on. My low beams work fine, when I switch to high beams, it starts to turn off and on after about 8 minutes. I can hear and feel something in the switch clicking when this happens. Anybody have any ideas?

switch is bad, works until it heats up then it stops making contact. I want to say it was my moms astro that had the same problem, low beams would work no problem but highs would only work for a min or 2 then cut off.
