I ment OOBS.. lol I just dont want to have to cut floors, and move tanks. Mabey someday when the truck gets painted.....

Like I said, I'd encourage you to get the NBS seats then start taking your measurements before taking anything apart or modifying. After you do that, if you feel your idea will work then go for it. If not, then keep the seats and go the route that I went or I'm sure you can turn around and sell the seats again and get your money back. If they are in good shape there's no way you'll lose money on the deal:) Just an idea man:)

Holy **** the bed Agness !!! Thats alot of work to get those seats in there !!! Nice write up. So good I'm now talked out of doing it !!! I worry about losing space anyway. About my only complaint about sb pick ups, is they aren't made for tall people. I'm afraid I go thru all that work, and I'd have even less space between me and the steering wheel and knees even closer to the dash. I've seen some fat asses need a big shoe horn and tilt wheel to be able to get into a sb, and instead of getting out of it, they just fall out of it. :laughing1: I don't think I'm a fat ass, but at 6'2 260, not little.

I'm 6'3" and have no issues with knees hitting the dash. Once these seats are in as I have them there's just as much room in the cab if not slightly more. That's why cutting the floor is the best way to go in the end.

BTW, not everyone can do sheet metal work as far as making and shaping pans. Maybe you oughta make some, pre drill the holes etc, and design a kit to retrotif 99-07 seats into square bodies. Oughta do a seperate write up on fuel tank relocation too using Blazer/Burban fuel tank. :grd: :Sumo:

I had thought about the kit idea but at the time there wasn't much demand cuz these seats were still too new at the time. That might be a good idea now, though:hmm:

if I can get the pics rounded up to go with the write up I will definitely do a write up on my gas tank relocation. Good idea!

Why would you care, you'd be over in the Carribean in the sun under an umbrella sucking on fruity adult beverages.

Old 77 Ide like to say nice job on the fab work and write up. NOW I got a question for ya.

In the thread about speedos for blackdogs diesel got me to thinking. When I replied about the cocacola trucks having factory tach dashes for diesel trucks I think I remembered something. But I am not 100% sure yet.

The cabs for the 2 Ton trucks are basically the same the biggest difference was the Front clip, OR so I thought Like I said I am not 100% sure on this yet I will no more tommorow but anyhow If I remember correctly another difference in the cabs from the 2 ton and the 1/2 ton is the Floor, I think the cab floors have a smooth floor to them NO SEAT HUMP. If that is accurate that might give another alternative for the NBS seats right?
