Motor oil cooler mounts are now welded on ..

The cooler has the same mounts for bolts on the bottom side ..
Was going to come off the frame rails with steel straps to put them to use ..

But don't see a need cause the two top mounts has it nailed on really good ..

It'll rattle that cooler to and fro eventually causing it to fail. Add the lower mounts.

As much as you build stuff to really be solid, leaving the oil cooler loose on the bottom doesn't jive with anything else you've done on this truck

Right-On ...

The cooler has no shake whatsoever bolted to the top mounts ...
Thought that adding mounts to the bottom would be overkill .. ??

Glad you jumped in with your comment ...

Just the right amount of kill by adding the lower mounts

Rough as a freaken corncob, but the picking was mighty slim !
46-48 Buick IIRC.....I have a pair of those that Dad bought at a swap meet decades ago, gonna use em as side markers on my old truck project.

Just about done with the lower oil cooler mounts ..
A little more welding and dressing down the welds, some rattle can paint ..
Should hang tough till I run it up on a stump !!

This is what I came up with ..

Could have done a better job dressing down the weld if I spent more time on it ... But, it's under the truck and won't be seen ...

I'm calling it 'Good Enough' !
