Sack full of parts will be here Thursday ..
In that sack of parts is another item for oil control in the pan ...

No doubt this old truck will jump out of the hole like it was shot out of a cannon, so I'm adding a baffle to keep the oil from climbing up the back of the oil pan ...

Once it's installed lock & load time is near ..

Getting really close to lock & loading the oil pan on ...

This helps to keep hot oil off the bottom of the intake ... Was going to run a air-gap intake but decided to get one that's design for the PP head ports ..

Might be a tad overkill, certainly won't hurt none ...

With the install of oversize valves, some work is involved to enhance the flow ...

They was at 118 cc's ..
Be a guess at the moment but I'd say they are at 121/122 cc's now that some meat has been removed ??

Boys, do I ever get a wild hair occasional !

This one is a doosy ..

In the hood a Fellow has a 48 Buick Super, past right by it on the way to work ..
Been eyeballing the rear fender running light for a year or two ..

These puppies seems to be hard to find ..
But I did find a set .. Wanting to get them in my hands for a mockup ...
If, to my eye, they don't look good, I'll sh*t can the idea ...

Not that fond of chopping holes in the fenders, but depending on how they will look on the truck .. 'I will'

I think that will look really slick in the rear step fenders.

Will be different, that's for dang sure ...

Speaking of different ...
Been working on other areas on the Binder ..
This might be overkill (I'm good at doing dat) installing a trans cooler, the radiator has a cooler built into the lower tank ...

You must be registered for see images attach

Most likely it would cool the trans fluid ok ...
But to be on the safe side, I'm adding a cooler on top of the transfer case ..

You must be registered for see images attach

It will be piggyback to the radiator's cooler ..

You must be registered for see images attach

Since there's two ele. fans on the cooler not much need to mount it in the wind ...

Looks like a good spot, got air on both sides of the cooler ..
Working on the mount ..

Here be the final design I came up with ..

You must be registered for see images attach

Since bucket seats was installed had 3/8" bolts sticking out of the floor pan ..
Used them to mount the cooler ..

Powder coat the bracket and done with the trans cooler, but for the plumbing ..
Waiting on ordered AN-6 fittings ..

Good news about the 1948 Buick Super side marker lights ....
Found a set out in Kansas ..
Might not use them, depends on the mockup ?
