So what is it, that has you worried?
There's no balance holes ..

Only has the factory holes, one in the front counterweight and one in the rear ..
I asked to have it externally balanced when the order was placed ..
Don't think that happened ..

Okay ... 496" number 2 motor block is out of the boring stand and getting honed ..
This one will see life in the Binder (My IH truck).

Edit ...
Going back into the boring stand to take out more meat ..
Will have 500.66 cubes ...

@dragstews What did you find out about the Crank?? Balanced??
Came unbalanced ...
Reason was they needed the damper & flywheel and the bolts, lower cam chain gear, the keys for the gear and damper ..
Everything that spins with the crank in order for them to do the job ...

Got a local machine shop nearby that does that service ...

Had the need to order a damper & flywheel, once they arrive will be packing all the aforementioned parts to get externally balanced ..

Could internally balance, but the cost would be way up there due to the need for expensive heavy-metal ...

Something just don't look quite right to me with the stoker crank .. ??
Monday I'll call the supplier and "Pow-Wow" about my concerns ..

Does anyone see what I'm seeing ?
( More appropriate question would be; Does anyone see what I'm 'NOT' seeing ? )
Ah, I see it. No bearing caps!! That won’t work well at all!

What are ya doin' 2.25/2.19 and 1.88?
This set of heads are Peanut Port heads that will be used on the 496" stoker, it's going into a 1962 C-10 ..
Installing 2.19" intakes and 1.88" exhausts ...

The stoker motor I'm building for my 1954 IH R-100 is going to be sporting 500 cubic inches and has large oval port 781 heads ..
They are getting the 2.25" intakes/1.88" exhaust and major bowl, port and chamber work ..

^ 781 heads ^

The PP heads will be seeing a bit of bowl work and light porting on the runners to enhance the oversize valves ..

My truck motor build is on the back burner and is slow go due to needing to buy the stoker crank kit (Not all that cheap since my choice is for a forged crank).. Meanwhile I'm trying to get a few ducks in a row to have done and sit aside till the time comes for final assembly ...

The 62 C-10 496" motor build is for a customer and soon to have completed, I'll be chipping away at it till it is ..
