Back on the run stand stroker motor ..
Dealing with a few problems that seems to be parts at fault ...
One is the starter gear mesh being way out in left field ..
New Pioneer 168T flywheel and Jegs mini starter are not playing well together ..
Turns about one turn and then start grinding !!
Way to much room between the flywheel ring gear and bendix gear ...
My thought was perhaps the Jeg's starter was made incorrectly ?
Tried a known good GM starter that's been on my truck for years on end without any problems working..
Did the same thing as the Jeg's did ...

Have on hand a starter that came from a BBC boat motor, it too did the same as the other two starters ..
I'm beginning to think that the flywheel ring gear is made to small ??

I really don't want to change out the flywheel to another one cause it's been balanced .. Some meat been removed from the balance pad ..
Been thinking about milling .200" off the Jeg's starter ..
See if that will allow deeper engagement ?
If to much can always add shims
