May seem like a silly question but can some confirm the end of this gear shift lever (where the key is pointing) threads off? I thought '92 C1500 did I just am trying to be certain. It's on there pretty stout and I didn't want to go wrenching on it and then screwing it up. Thanks in advance.

Same as in my S10 and my 1989 Sierra. It's pressed on as I recall.
