I've got a 1987 gmc 1500 350. The truck has a duel tank system. I've bypassed the switching valve due to the plastic being weak when I was working on it. Broke some stuff. The issue im having is the left tank would not pump fuel for the longest I went to the right tank because it was pumping fuel yesterday. When I went to bypass the valve today the right side would not pump but the left began too. They are intermittently working it seems.
