In my blazer i used good quality thick walled rubber fuel lines. For my girlfriends 69 fastback we ordered stainless steel fuel lines and brake lines from classic tube. It's high quality stuff and the fit was good. I had do to some minor adjustments (bending) during installation.

Inline Tube also does similar stuff. I'm not sure how they compare on price. Inline Tube is based out of Michigan though, you could potentially save on shipping and pick it up yourself since you seem to be nearby somewhat.

I used Inline Tube for my truck. They have great custom service. They sent the wrong rear hard lines and sent the replacements quickly. I didn't have to return the incorrect ones. I used ORD for my braided lines due to the lift.

Kind of off-subject title, but looking at these line companies......what is a load valve? They ask if its with or without (brake lines). Leaning towards Inline Tube as I can get it all there and pick it up to boot.

?!

Thanks fellas. This is great info.

It's sensing how far the suspension drops under weight and adjusts the brake pressure in the brake cylinders accordingly. When the truck is loaded more pressure is applied. It's also call height sensing valve. It was used on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks afaik.

In this thread you can fin a picture of it.

Thanks very much! From the sounds of it (here and on other sites).....it can be problematic and not many keep it around. Going to see if I can even find mine.

One of the biggest issues you run into with the valve is when you lift your truck. Back in '89 I had an '87 K20. I had a shop install a 4" lift, but they did not lift the bottom mount for the lever a proportionate amount. Due to that, the rear brakes were not getting enough pressure to work. I had to do a panic stop with a trailer attached and almost drove right through an intersection!

I have a 2" lift and thats enough for me. I'll probably delete the valve regardless - haven't heard anyone wishing they hadn't after the fact.

I just did my brake lines and proportioning valve and got it all from Inline. Everything fit really well.
