So shop around for a 44 or 10 front and a 14 or 12 rear. With a high ratios

Yep, if its not yet been said, you're likely to find a 4.10 front axle in a 3/4 ton truck, then swap your 6 lug hubs to it. That's the cheap way out. Or, if it were me, I'd try to find a set of axles with a Full Float 4.10 rear, and 4.10 front, and go with the 8 lug wheels. Or, you might find what I'm about to ask about, a 9.5 Semi Float 14b rear axle set up with 4.10's and get the 6 lugs axles or have them drilled for 6 lug and keep the truck 6 lug with a heavier duty rear end and the gear ratio you want up front.

Looks to me like you've pretty much nailed it, with bushings, shocks and fluids. You might want to add a magnet either in the floor of the housing, or on the back cover. This will keep any wearing particles from recycling in the units and increasing wear on top of wear. Just make sure the location of the magnet doesn't interfere with the gear and get caught up in the gears.
