Just got done reading the foamy fluid thread and it got me to thinking. Will the foamy fluid 1. cause the tranny to slip and 2 will the fluid settle back to its normal state? Thanks, Alan

Yes, it will settle as it burbs the air out. Takes a while but it will. Usually overnight and it's done for sure. It's usually heat or overfilling that will cause foaming. Sometimes the vent tube being clogged can cause it too and then you'll have an overflow out the dipstick tube. Normally the pump pressure is high enough to push through the air and compress the clutch drum pistons so slipping USUALLY isn't a problem. In extreme cases it would seem to reason that it could though.
