I'm new to this forum and I want to start out with a question. Has anyone ever experienced a clicking noise when making turns? My truck clicks when I make sharp right turns, and slight left turns. From the outside of the truck, the sound seems like its coming from the Drivers side front wheel. 85 C10

Sounds like wheel bearing to me too or a rock inside your tire. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have repacked both front bearings, thought that would solve the problem. At first, I thought it did, but the sound came back within an hour of driving. Then I replaced them both, but still had the same result.

Could have a wheel slightly bent and contacting the dust shield or something. Best way to tell is put it on stands and spin the wheels at different steering angles to track it down. If it only seems to do it under load I would have to ask if you replaced the bearing races too? If there's a flat spot on the old race a new bearing will still click.

My k-10 strangely does something very similar. I have had my hub apart multiple times as well as replaced the wheel bearings. Turns out the noise is my brake pads chattering, not sure how to make it stop yet though.

There's a service bulletin on chattering brakes that tells how to fix that when adding anti rattle clips. But dont know if it goes back to squarebody stuff or not.

The wheel doesn't click when its not under load. And no, I didn't change the races. The felt smooth to the touch, but that still doesn't mean anything... I hope its not the wheel. They're a set of vintage cragers..
