I have been looking off and on for an affordable short bed/step side that is rust free with all power and AC for a few years now. There are a lot of them out there but I'm not paying 15-20k or more - I'm into the the 4 figure truck buying not the 5 figure! Anyway - found one a few weeks ago and after some negotiation I was able to drive it home. The guy found something else he really wanted bad and I got a killer deal. I seriously considered flipping it and I still could but there is no way I will find another one like this for the price. No way. This is an 86 GMC with PW, PDL, working AC, and factory tach. It was painted a several years ago and there are some small rust spots on one of the doors at the handle but that is all. Really solid. The clear coat is peeling in a few spots too on the fenders. The bed is new and was installed by the PO (this was a fleet side short bed before so it is a FrakenTruck). The 2" cowl hood is also new but I hate it - It will be one of the first things that needs to go, IMO. Even though it is perfect, I do not like the look of that hood. Going back to a stock hood. She is a runner and much better than the other square body's I have had in the past. Also need new wheels/tires. Those are not my thing!
