Exhaust manifold question

Well I thought this might be easy, considering no broken bolts or studs, but no.
Got a replacement, and yes it the same except for the flange where it meets the y.

Well the y pipe is this and it seems that the replacement is too long or is this a removable sleeve in the y pipe.

Looks like the piece that’s missing on the old manifold compared to what’s on the new one is stuck in the Y-pipe.

That was probably it, no heat riser valve was on it.
Yep, the old one would have(should have) had a heat riser valve on it that would have made the connection correct to fit on the extension on the new one. Someone at some point probably removed the heat riser and modified the Y-Pipe, or the heat riser is still installed on the y-pipe in the truck.
