Okay, that's straight.

Confirm/eliminate a dead short to ground in the purple wire that runs from the switch to the solenoid.

1. Disco it at both ends (switch and solenoid)
2. Make up a temporary by-pass jumper from a length of 12awg wire
3. Connect the jumper as the purple wire was - at the switch and solenoid

Turn the ignition key to RUN and depress the starter button. It should crank over. If not, note whether the electrical system still spikes low.

While you are under the truck - to change the connection at the solenoid - check that the starter/solenoid wiring is correct. It should look like this:
