When you shift into reverse or drive? Check you torque converter to flywheel bolts... discovered mine where loose today. Now the question is new torque converter or helicoil. Idk either way trans has to come down....

usually when they are that loose you will hear the flex plate chatter against the torque converter..........

No chatter just a clank every now and then

Hmmm....Mine got loose on me a couple times when I had my 83 long bed. Never had it clank. But both times it wasnt to terribly loose when I tightened it back up good. Maybe mine hadn't reached the clanking stage yet. :p

Yup. The threads on the screws are now embedded in the flywheel

Yea. Now I just have to figure out what to do about the screw issue
