I bought a engine stand awhile back and it didnt come with any attachment hardware. Are the attachment hardware kits different from one brand to another?

Its 750LB. MVP Prolift brand.

My stand came with all the necessary hardware. Are you needing a pic of what you need or what? A bunch of engine stands are made the same but there are some out there made different.

Are you needing just bolts? run down to the hardware store and get some fasteners, its only a few bucks.

All I have is the engine stand. What else do I need?

Does it have the big round thing that goes into the upright? Does it have the 4 arm thingies that attach to the plate steel on the big round thing? Does it have the handle and pin? Other than that I think you get the bolts to bolt the arm thingies on, but as for bolts to attach a bellhousing you have to scrape up your own.

That's all you need. Well, that, 4 grade-8 bolts for the bellhousing (5/8" head I believe), and an engine of course lol. Whatcha buildin?

I gotta tear apart a 96 350 vortec block that 3-4 or more rod knocks. I have to see what it all needs before I can use it again.

What length should I get on the bolts?

Be careful rolling a longblock over on your stand, with the heads on they're quite top heavy and even the 4-wheel stands can flop right over on the floor and tear **** up. Shortblocks aren't so bad about it. But have a good grip on that handle, maybe a helper too when you roll over an engine with the heads on it.
