Well im putting a electric fan in my 81 gmc. I found a dual fan at the junkyard i will be using. It. Looks like there is a relay built into the fan already. What do i need to buy to get this thing working. Thank you

Need to trace the wire colors and figure out which ones are the power feed and which ones switch the relays on. Looks like one relay per fan. There's several ways you can wire them up. Pair of manual switches, one manual switch, one automatic switch, or a combination of the two, etc.

Do you think i should buy a whole kit for the dual fans with controller. Or can i just buy a controller and figure out which wires go where and use excisting relays. And for you guys that have done these swaps which kits did you have good luck with.

I think all the kits are overpriced. If you want them to come on automatically, all you need is a little more wiring and a GM style fan temp switch that threads into a cylinder head.
