Ok fellas, I have a 350 engine and 700R4 tranny. The carb was never setup correctly by PO. That being said I am wondering about the two brackets below.

Which do I need or do you use both or do they both do the same thing? I know my throttle return spring connects to the wrong place. My tranny doesn't shift into 4th and my throttle can be manually moved slightly further than the pedal will. All research shows I have the wrong bracket.

You wouldbe better off to call Bowtieoverdrives.com.
They can tell you exactly what you will need from Edelbrock(or you can call edelbrock)
As far as the throttle moving farther manually, than with the pedal....Welcome to the club.

usually all that is needed is just a geometry correction kit for 700r4's and such or maybe work right off the carb just right, with a bracket to hold the cable, and the right stud, same for the throttle just a stud and then a bracket on the intake which could even be stock intake brackets.

every edelbrock carb I ever used I just got a stud for the throttle and stud for the trans kickdown, but on a 700r4 we only did it once with a stud only and it wasn't right, on the adjustment part. I think it was our fault and maybe not the carb stud fault or anything.
