So I’m not sure what I’m looking for, I saw few posts, one with a transition fender gap piece, but I’m curious what was done from gm factory with the Dually fender to transition the fenders/ protect the fibreglass at all - or was it just the cap and fibreglass was truly left to the elements of what the tire threw at it….?

Yeah, it was basically all exposed. Iirc, the marker light wiring has a protective sheath on it and the marker lights themselves have a sheild that protects them. That's just going off of my memory though.
