Thats my carbed 454 suburban..we had a cold front move thru its 32ish out one pump to set the electric choke and pow fired right up..only had to feather the gas pedal for a moment idled up just fine.....

Nice, my electric choke dont seem to work very good. I think I need to make sure I have the wire routed to "ignition" like maybe it's on "always hot". I think I'd rather have a manual choke, myself. At least you know whether or not it's working without pulling the air can. What carb you got on yours?

Barry Grant Speed Demon 750cfm VacSec elecric choke

Find the field wire on the Alternator piggy back off that. on yours should be on drivers side.
Get a volt meter ground off Alt case.back probe
