Highly debating selling my truck and trying to fund something with a little less rust to start with. Never planned a show room restore, but also don't want it to rust away on me either. If i did sell it I would find another square to replace it, prob from down south.

Anyway reason I bring this up, it seems of you have a working 4x4 up here there usually go for about 3k on average, condition doesn't seem to matter. I could try to sell it in williston (5 hours from me) and probably get 3500 not even trying.

Currently have about 2,000 into it between various repairs, tires, and purchase price. No idea what it would cost to fix the rust I have now, could post pics

Whatcha think?

I can post them later. Condition is not so important in oil country especially for a 4x4. I sold a 200 beater ford taurus for 600 not even trying last year, i would have never paid more than what i did for it.

Anyway, this is more for a mental thing for me, i like my truck and it is a good base i think for my needs, but then again easy money could be hard to pass up, unless i can't replace it which is my hangup.

Well if you decide to sell it and are looking for one down South, let me know. My neighbor has a rust free 85 4wd swb that needs a motor he wants $1000 for. Im sure he would come off that price a bit. If he doesn't sell it pretty quick Im going to start buying parts off it for my 85.

That's not as bad as you made it seem. I would look for a better bed and just patch the cab up. Beds are dirt cheap around here because all these farmers pull them off to run flat beds. I bet there are 10 beds sitting withen 6 blocks of my office.

O really? How much do they go for? I could just in bolt mine and drive down and get one, bolt it up and drive home?

Overall is relatively clean. I could just go get some rust free doors too.

Inner fenders need some work.

I will do some checking around and let you know what I can find. There are a lot of mud run guys in town that all have 6 or 8 parts trucks just sitting around that they are always willing to sell parts off. I will make the rounds over the weekend and let you know what I find out.

^In Ohio, some would call that a rust free truck.

Full rocker replacement the right way is pretty involved. But from the looks of it, you might only have a few bad spots that should be patched.
