How do you get the metal dash out of my 76? I have everything else out, but it appears I can't remove it with the windshield in. is this correct?

Should be about 6 retainers behind it and 3-4 small bolts in front around the glovebox

EDIT: I didnt see "metal" dash....was thinking dash pad.

The dash is spot welded to the windshield pinch seam. You would have to drill all the spot welds out to remove the metal dash.

My 75 - just had like like 8TK said about 3-4 small 1/4" sheet metal screws and there are just tabs that hold it down - you just have to pull straight back. Did not have any spot welds- the tabs just slide in. You are referring to just the top pad - metal shell underneath correct?
