Do y'all have any tips about welding the perches or what the angle of the pinion I think is what it's called needs to be set at?

Are you going to lift your truck? Lifting it will change your pinion angle.

Well I want the height of the dodge but just leveled out for now. Maybe like a 4in lift later.

I think the dodges sit up a bit higher in the front end. Are you still going to try to do the stock dodge suspension in the front instead of leaf springs?

Yes sir front and back.

Calling me sir is like putting an elevator in an outhouse, it just don't belong.

I would get springs in and just put rearend on perches and check the angle, I'm not sure how many degrees it would need to be. I'm sure some other members on here would know more about this.

Haha! Alright, I would have to use the Chevy spring right? And when I cut the perches off can I reuse them or do I need to buy more I really haven't look at them yet.

If the springs weights were the same I would use the GM springs. Just really depends on what your going for, stiffer spring worse ride but you have the capability to haul more weight. Look at your rear GVW on both trucks.

Dodges sitting up high is an actual waste and a poor COG. Have you ever noticed a Dodge flatbed or service body, that the deck of the flatbed is up much higher than you see a Ferd or GM truck?

So what do you think? On the dodge there's like a 3in block then the springs then like a 1in block with like an add a leaf setup. The dodge is 8800lbs I haven't figure out what the Chevy is yet.

A Dodge with a Cummins and Aisan Trans prolly weights that, but not a Hemi.

Not weight gvw

3/4 ton GM is generally 8600, 1 ton is 10,000. Notice I said generally, cuz different RPO codes and spring and brake packages make it vary some.

Guess I just have to test out it. I see how high the front sits up then go from there
