Maybe take a big $hit right before you try again and you might get to 16.9. ;)

Dude...everybody started playin this game...times are gettin posted....and it started raining. For a couple days it rained while everybody else was racin..
Finally stopped - I had a good spot picked out - cherry picked a 3am race slot annnnnd 17.2

Admittedly I didnt prep the car AT ALL.
i could yank the other seats and ditch the spare - but that's about it im thinkin.
Probably be worthwhile to clean the air filter but oil change is still a ways off.
Checking the tire pressure would certainly help but there's not a lot of screws to turn...I think 16.9 may be possible?
Not!
I dont see it picking up SIX LENGTHS just cuz I put the seats in the back of the truck real quick roflmao. I had around a 5/8 tank too , less gas would help a lot.

But it's gonna be fun to try! :D

Something else became quite obvious during the run.. LaFawnduh is no fan of full throttle upshifting. :nono::nono::nono:
The 2-3 seemed like forever!

I gave it a shot earlier tonight, and it seems pretty accurate.

The car: 2002 Cadillac Escalade 6.0 AWD, 125,330 miles, almost a full tank of 87 unleaded (nearly 20 gallons), zero modifications

The conditions: 62* F, dry pavement, no track prep (just an old country road)

I didn't really try and launch it, I basically just hit the gas and didn't let off until I hit triple digits.....

That seems right in line with Car and Driver, which tested their '02 Escalade at 16.0 in the 1/4 mile, and 0-90 in 18.1 seconds. Their 0-60 time was 7.8, which is the only outlier between their times and mine.

For a bone stock 20-year-old 5700 lb. SUV, it's pretty cool to be capable of 1/4 mile times in the 15's. I'll have to test it again sometime, maybe with a tank of 93 instead. Premium fuel is "recommended" in these, but not required, and there doesn't seem to be any MPG gains whatsoever when going with premium. Performance between the two grades doesn't seem different either, but that's just "seat of the pants" feel, so I'm not really sure.

'09 C-6500 crew cab box truck, 7.8 Isuzu diesel, Allison automatic. Weight is "somewhere in the neighborhood of GVW" and we'll leave it at that.

And that was even with foot braking it to get it into boost off the line, lol.

Dang, we could have a pretty close race between that and my jeep. Could be fun. Lol
