Has anyone on gmsb put on a crew cab on a suburban frame. Or a crew cab on a 1 ton long bed frame. I have been looking at other websites and there have been people that have done it and said It basically bolts on except for the back where you need extra braces. Has anyone done this. And doese anyone have any suggestions.

We had a suburban frame on top of a regular frame somebody had used to lift the suburban. just remember the sububan and long bed regular cab are same wheelbase, I currently have a suburban someone put back of cab on making it a crewcab and they added about 12" to frame to get a 6' utility box to fit on

A guy on CK5 put a crew cab on a Burb frame, it basically bolted right on with the addition of a crossmember at the rear of the cab. Every build thread I've seen involving a crew cab on a regular cab frame involved cutting out a lot of the floor at the rear because the frame rails kick up too soon.

See i have never seen that. What if you run a 2 inch body lift what do you think. Will it still hit or. All of the build threads I have seen they said it was pretty simple. And what do you think about running it on a 1 ton regular cab long bed frame. And toejoe Where is that picture you are talking about I did not see it.

Yah I was looking at the crew cab and This will probably get its own build thread Soon. I am making a parts list and seeing what I would need. But Then I thought. Just get the Crew cab running And drivable. Then do a short bed conversion later. Maybe ill post some pics of the crew cab later If I get to it.

Oh, that was directed at 89S. He wants to make his rear arches taller to match the fronts, I was suggesting to really cut it up and do the K5 topper too.

I am very interested in this as a Burb owner. That maybe some day I would be able to do such a thing as what you are looking to do.

Wasn't this guy on here or did somebody just post it? I can't remember where it was posted but I found the pic elsewhere. I do remember seeing it discussed here before.
