If I had a nickel for every Dana 60 that wasn’t a Dana 60, I’d have a couple of nickels.

I was just reading the comments/ questions....as there is white paint in the engine pics on the firewall.

Answer on color: "The original color is white. The owner had it repainted to match his fleet."
So imagine a whole fleet of green things.
I didn't think that the front fender 2-tone was correct. It has too high of an arch sloping toward the front of the fender. Factory was more of a sloped line without an arch, and I've never seen that color on one, EVER.

There should be an arch, but not THAT much arch for sure.

I'm absolutely positive that my fenders are original paint, so all the squares should be the same. I'm sure they've varied a slight bit from year to year? You can tell that somebody resprayed the silver on the door though.

Yeah, my old Burb I posted above was original black paint and the original striping too. The gray was just my spray can touch up because the original gray had all flaked off. I'm sure there was wiggle room in the overall curve of the stripe, but the top and bottom leading edges were kind of set in stone.

seen this a few times around the internet in articles. no reserve for tuesday March 24th,
the next owner needs to give this thing more cowbell.

This 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 “Cessna” Custom is from the Rocket City Collection.
  • Fuselage of a 1974 Cessna RAM 421B airplane (no wings or propellor)
  • 1954 Chevrolet 6400 front end
  • Refinished in red, white, and blue paint
  • Side-opening passenger door
  • Seating for five: driver and four passengers
  • Cessna yoke (steering)
  • Cessna Aircraft Company hubcaps
  • Backup camera
  • Boss BV9358B stereo system with touch screen

This “Cessna” truck is said to have been delivered intact from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Huntsville, Alabama, riding on the back of a “lowboy” flatbed. It was delivered without any obstacles or special requirements due to its height, but that was only because it was on a “lowboy” flatbed

It happens. Grandpa wanted blue, everything got painted blue. Then it was red. The red faded. He found a green that hid dirt well and didn't fade, everything got painted green.

This was one of them....

south Jersey craigslist if looking:

Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 L Hemi - $1,300 (Woodbine)

Looking for a good home. Her body is rotting away and in really bad shape. Right now she has no brakes and her exhaust is loud. (No I am not talking about my wife). But with a young 208k miles with religious oil changes, her motor hums. She’s got good sneakers and cooling system. Cloth interior. There are several thousands in usable parts even if you wanted her just for the parts. She was my first brand new vehicle. Like a family member…So be kind and don’t insult me. (Yes my wife is making me sell her)
I can send a video of her running if requested.

a +738,000 mile rabbit convertible. (automatic for nasty jersey traffic, but not fun vs. the heavenly 5 speed manual). ... (edit: and I wonder if it actually has a rebuilt title,..as more than one person gets confused by that while placing an ad: like its a physical condition of a vehicle... vs what the current title is branded as)

1984 Volkswagen Rabbit Cabriolet – Restored, Rebuilt Engine, 738,000 Miles

For sale is my 1984 Mk1 Volkswagen Rabbit Cabriolet. I purchased the car less than a year ago from the previous owner when I bought my house. Unfortunately, I need the garage space and simply don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. I've only taken it out a handful of times since purchasing it.

What makes this Rabbit truly unique is its incredible history. The chassis currently shows approximately 738,000 miles, an astonishing figure that speaks to the car's longevity and care over the years. The engine has been rebuilt, and the previous owner performed a comprehensive restoration.

Cosmetically, the car is in excellent condition and presents extremely well. The interior, exterior, and overall appearance are among the nicest you'll find for a Rabbit of this age.

The previous owner maintained extensive records, and the sale includes a binder containing restoration photos, service records, receipts, and documentation detailing the work performed throughout the restoration process.

The car is garage kept and runs and drives well. The only issue I'm aware of is a small transmission fluid leak that should be addressed at some point. Other than that, it has been a reliable and enjoyable classic.

This is a great opportunity to own a unique, well-documented vintage Volkswagen with an incredible story behind it.

Clean title in hand.

1984 Volkswagen Rabbit

condition: excellent

cylinders: 4 cylinders

odometer: 738,000

paint color: grey

title status: rebuilt
