I got to play hooky from work this morning, so I could do a carb swap on my '84 C10. I removed the quadrajet (along with about 10 pounds of vacuum lines) and installed just a basic Holley 650. My question is about the vacuum switch for the torque converter (mounted on the firewall). Does the vacuum line just go to a manifold vacuum port now? I'm guessing it does.
It didn't seem to work before, but there were a couple things not hooked up in all that vacuum mess. Hopefully it will work with it hooked up by itself.
Oh yeah, and the dizzy. What's supposed to be done to bypass the electronic part of it? It does have a vacuum advance on it, it's not the later style dizzy.
