I've noticed some cig charger accessories don't work very well with the older style plug in these trucks. There's not much different they just don't like these plugs, try another cig plug accessory.

How have you verified it's not working? Just plugging something in?

Yes, plug and no lite comes on. So, do you think the whole lighter system needs replacing or just the adapter that goes the the unit?
Thanks, Woody

Get a test light and ground it out somewhere good then touch the center pole in the bottom of the cig plug to see if it's getting power. Be sure not to touch the sides of the socket while touching the center pole, it will ground out and arc.

If it's getting power, then you'll either have to swap out your plug in accessory, or change the cig lighter.

I bet the spring loaded charger tip isnt making contact. Try a different charger. If it will glow a cigarette lighter that's not the problem. My bet is on your new plastic, not the old metal. There isn't anything there to fail aside from what you have introduced.

Some this new plastic stuff works, some kind of works, some don't at all. Glad it was cheap and easy!
