Carburetor rebuild help!

I did my first carb rebuild on the Rochester quadrajet and after installing back on the truck I realized it was flooding instantly. I pulled the carb back off and adjusted the float to the correct setting which I was misinformed on the original. After pulling the air horn off I noticed a plastic piece in the bottom of the carb. After searching the internet I believe this part is a cam on the metering rods. I’m not completely sure and wanted to make sure that I am correct and if anyone can point me to how/where is goes. I have attached a picture of the broken cam for reference. Any help is appreciated as this is the first carb I’ve ever worked on.

Look at your secondary air blades. In the middle of them there should be a little plastic cam that actuates the secondary metering rods. But I don't think that would end up in the carb. Although it does kind of look like it.

Looks like the retainer for the accelerator pump spring.

Yes it's your secondary metering rod cam. It mounts on the shaft between the secondary air valve plates/valves

Found out where it goes. Order a new assembly from cliffs. Thanks for the help
