Carb help????

So today i was driving down the road, and my engine started revving. I tried to slow down, but she wouldn't . I stopped her on the side of the road and turned the truck off, and as soon as i started it up it revved like i was going balls to the wall. I looked at the carb and everything looks like it it supposed to, but i can let off of the brake and go 45 mph without ever touching the gas???? HELP PLEASE!!??!?!

Does the throttle and cable move freely?

I had something similar happen to my Q-jet, it turned out to be the choke step up linkage randomly upping the idle WAY up.

All of your vaccuum lines hooked up?

could be many things, make sure your floor mat isn't shoved under the gas pedal
