If you have a cab that's basically stripped down, post up some pics of it and do tell the year and options of that truck that went to the cab. We know there are differences in AC and NON AC trucks. There are also differences in 2wd and 4wd cabs. And there is differences in Auto Trans and Manual Trans Trucks. However, IIRC, 3 speed column shift trucks, I think use the same hump as a 2wd Automatic Cab.

And I learned something new today. Who knew there was a difference in an 81-83 and an 84-87 cab??? Anyone know why??? I'll be posting pics of both.

Wasn't the wiper switch and dimmer switch moved from the cab and floor to the steering column in '84?

It would put a hol in the foolr in 81-83.

No, the floor mounted dimmer switch just screwed to the floor. But, fact is, there is a difference and I never knew it.

White Cab is an 85 (84-87). The headlight switch is moved up.

Red Cab is an 81 (81-83) where the headlight switch is below the space for the wiper switch.

I had never noticed the difference.

Forgot to proof read before post. I'm not saying your info is wrong, I'm saying the cab is wrong.

Let's not forget. This thread is also for showing AC and NON AC areas of the cabs, as well as floors for manual transmissions, auto, 4wd etc. It's more than just about wiper switches. :waytogo: We want to be able to identify cabs, and know what we have to work with or modify when shopping or swapping cabs. :waytogo: If you have bare cab pics showing the floors, Heat and Air openings, etc. Post'em up.

Good Pic. Would be better if you can make the 2nd pic of the front of the firewall if you have the heat box removed.

Never removed it, those were back in 2012 when I was working on it.
