cab corner and door gap

hey guys,
on the passanger side of my 86 k20 the cab corner is flush with the door i fixed my prevous problem, but the gap between the door and cab corner is close together. as you follow the gap down its fine till the cab corner area.


how would i want to correct this.?

Yes....definitely a pic for this. Hanging doors and getting the gaps correct is a tricky deal...

I would bet somebody replaced the cab corner before and never cut the old one off completely. I've done it and it does as you said, leaves the gap perfect until the repair then it's tight.

parden my begining bondo work. but there it is.. the gap at the top of the pic is how it should be and as it goes down it gets a little tighter. me and my buddy did the cab corner and im just seeing it now..ughh.. im pretty sure i cut out all the old bad cab.

Im thinking maybe just some grinding will fix it..i hope

what does the body line where the door handle look like? if it were me id try to loosen the hinge on the cab side but just the bottom one and let the door pivot on the top hingeby opening the door and shoving it down just a little bit should open that gap. also is if the door is dragging on the striker pin you will need to drop that down.

Are you gonna fix the rust in the door? It looks to me like the edge of the door isn't straight, have you put a straight edge up to it? I think a good door will fix the gap.

iv got a good set of doors!! that door is striaght its just got that one hole hahah. its accualy a decent door
