I'm putting in bucket seats and some of the bolts are going to hit the gas tank.

Can I just take off the gas tank hose connections and take off the tank straps to lower it enough to install the right length of bolts without removing the all the wiring and hoses from the top of the tank? Thanks

I've got about 1.5 inches between the floor and the gas tank, so I can't get between the tank and floor without dropping the tank. I just hope I can drop it enough without having to disconnect everything.

It's not all that to drop a tank. Maybe 5 min. to disconnect everything your talking about. You could go get some large cinder blocks and set them on them. I didn't know there were different sizes until I swapped a gear box at a buds house and he had a big one. Now I have 2 to work with instead of standing on a cooler to get into the engine compartment. The were like $5 for both....and they don't flip out from under ya as much LOL.
