BU switch wiring

I bought an 82 k10 that has a lot of modifications. They engine swapped it from a diesel to a small block and moved the gear selector from the Column to the floor. I’m in the process of installing a painless wire harness and I can’t figure out where to hook up the BU switch wires since it is no longer on the column.

I haven't had one of these shifters in 10 years, so I don't recall. Here a link to the back side of the switch. I read the instructions for a Star Shifter and it doesn't specify. The switch is open until the curved tab is depressed.
