brake lights

i have no brake, turn signal or hazard lights. the running lights and front turn signals work. any ideas where to look ? its a 87 r10 step side. Thanks

Pull out the rear lens housing(s) and check the ground wire(s). They usually get rusted/corroded up and make the back lights dead.

if has a trailer harness on it check that also, a lot of time they were butchered when put in and will cause major headaches

if all that fails check fuses.

the fuses are good. no trailer harness. ill check the ground tomorrow. thanks

Might sound a bit dumb, but check the bulbs. Maybe the brighter filaments have burned out.

Could be a break in a wire along the way towards the back. If you have a tester, turn on the hazard lights and check the socket for signal. If none step back to the wires about a foot upstream and check again. (Tester might have a probe you can use to pierce the wire enough to check it.)

Isn't there a plug in the harness near the cab that runs to the rear lights? I'd check that too with a test light.
