Once blower motor stopped turning, I checked the cheap and easy culprits first:
☑️AC compressor still functions-check.
☑️Fuses-check.
☑️Power to purple motor wire-check.
☑️Check ground wire to motor-check.
☑️Test continuity of old motor-no bueno.
☑️Replace blower motor-check.
☑️Functions as expected-check.

Looks like a good write up and good pics.

Everyone has their own method, and I would love to hear them all.

General info, not vehicle specific:

I usually turn it on medium speed and then just kick the blower motor (on an under dash mounting location), or whack the blower motor with a wooden handle of a hammer (under hood location).

This usually isolates the problem as bad brushes in the blower motor (motor starts spinning when hit). If that doesn't isolate the problem, then I check the voltage at the wiring harness where it attaches to the blower motor. If its 12+, then the blower is bad.

If its 12v+ Only when the fan is set to hi, then the blower resistor pack is bad.

If there is no 12V+ power to the blower on any setting, then the switch is bad or the power to the switch is not present.

What methods do others use?

I would just pull the rubber boot back and leave the motor connected. Turn it on high and measure voltage. This way you are checking it loaded. If there is a voltage drop it will show with this one test.
