Well, my problem is solved. I exchanged my alternator, put a new positive battery cable on and removed all of the paint from the alternator bracket contact points. I can turn the headlights on and have the blower motor on high and get very little voltage drop(about .2 volts) What a relief!

An alternator will only put out the current needed to keep the battery charged and run the accessories. Once the battery is charged, if a alternator is capable it 120 amps, but the battery is fully charged and the ignition needs 5 amps to run, 5 amps is all the alternator will produce. If the wiring will support it, extra capacity isn’t a bad thing, especially with electrical add ons.

Anyway, good deal that it’s up and running again.
