My blinkers aren't working on my 73 and having issues figuring it out. My hazards work, and I put a new flasher in the fuse box for the blinkers, and when I turn on the switch the break light for that side stops working, but it won't blink. Could it be a grounding issue or something else?

Do the front directionals blink normally - and it's just the backs that don't?

It doesn't sound like a grounding issue. The hazards work - correct? If you have a good enough ground for the hazards, it stands to reason that it should be good enough for the directionals as well.

when I turn on the switch the break light for that side stops working, but it won't blink.

That is with the brakes on - right? How about just the directionals by themselves - without the brake lights on - do they work then?

What if you turn on the hazards while the brakes are on - do the rears flash like that?

Here is the diagnostic chart for "no directionals at all". If the hazards work, but the blinkers don't, there are basically only two realistic answers as to why (and they both suck):

A messed up MFS or a wiring problem -(and that is usually within the steering column).
