Hopefully someone can help me with this swap...

Swapping in a 31 gallon Blazer tank into my K30. I have a new tank and was looking into getting a new fuel sending unit for it. I am using the same era of Blazer tank (1986 - for carb) I see the blazer sending units have four hose fittings out of the sending unit and my factory K30 is three. Does one get capped off or do I need to add something? Also, I was just going to run some decent rubber Gates Barricade fuel hoses the extra two feet to the tank. Will this work?

Yea, I saw that one and the captkaoscustoms.com write up, thanks. Neither address the 4 vs 3 hose ends on the sending unit. Hopefully someone has dealt with this issue also and can guide me in the right direction.

Cant speak for all but my 86 1 ton has a return line (well, it did when I got it anyway).

Anyway, see if this makes sense:

You must be registered for see images attach

The short hose on left goes to a hard line which runs up to your fuel filler neck. It allows the ullage space to vent as you pump gas in.

The second line from left would normally receive vapors from the evaporative control canister. In earlier applications it would have a small, axle vent/breather style plug that allows pressure to escape so your tank doesnt pressurize.

The third is the fuel supply to the pump.

The one on right is the fuel return line from the pump

Kleedus - Thought that may be a problem but I have not had time to test fit anything yet. I'll probably just have to remove it and build a new center mounted cross bar for the shocks.
