Does anyone have or know someone who has a BDS lift? And if so do you like it? I'm looking for an 8 inch lift kit and BDS was recommended to me by a local performance shop.

I have not ever owned them.

I recommend Superlift Soft Ride. The blue Burb on the right of my sig has the 6" softride front springs and rear blocks.

BDS is good stuff.

In all hoensty though, with these older trucks arent springs just springs really? I mean I dont think there is that much difference in springs from Co. A or Co. B. Same with shocks, and they can easily be upgraded.; And a decent kit should include all new bushings/hardware too.

From there its on you to make adjustments to the pinon angle, carrier bearring, steering geomerty or what ever is nesessary according to that manufacturers instructions........ not Cousin Cleatus' recommendation.

Make sure that manufacturer says their lift will clear the size tires you want.

People who dont are the ones that blame it on the life manufacturer.

I wouldnt use 8" blocks on a lift though, IMHO.

The bds lift comes with all the bushings and springs and it only has 2 inch blocks in the rear. It also has a tcase drop kit to correct pinion angle as well.

So were back to the original question. I havent seen one on a SQB, mostly newer 3/4T, but yes they make a good product. Might be a bit more $$ than say Trailmaster or Rancho....

...but with this warranty:

"If you are the original purchaser of any BDS product and it breaks, we will give you a new part. Period."

How can you go wrong there?

I have a BDS lift on my Burb, but it's only a 4 inch. It rides like stock and I have no complaints, they have hardly sagged at all either. That's a common complaint with the softer lift springs is sagging over time.

The springs can actually make a BIG difference. My BDS and Superlift springs are a night and day difference over the old Rancho springs on my old K5.

Rough Country/Rugged Trail vs Skyjacker/Superlift/BDS is a BIG difference.

i know the look im going for. Ive seen a lot of lifted SB's and a few that were the same combo im going to run (8" lift 35" tires).

I liked the BDS kit because of the warranty and also because it comes with everything i need and what seem to be good instructions.
