I am changing my 1987 Square Body 1/2 ton to a standard shift, will the clutch, brake pedal and z bar assembly from a 1977 1/2 ton square body work?

Besides drilling holes, yep, it all goes in. If you have vacuum brakes, you need to get a pedal assembly from a truck with vacuum brakes. The hydroboost pedal is a little different.

I think a 87 truck had a hyd. clutch set up. Would that be easyer to deal with than drilling the frame and such for the 77 linkage set up , (just wondering).

Is going to depend on what trans your running. An older trans already setup for mechanical linkage would be better off with older pedals. Either pedal set is a bolt in to the truck, the linkage you want to run an the amount your willing to pay for the pedal setup are the deciding factors. The hydro pedal setups are almost worth more than gold apparently....
