Are C10 and K10 jacks the same?

I believe the c10s have a j hook style to hook onto the control arm. I have a k10 one and it's just a crank style bottle jack

so if the hook is for the front control arms, is it safe to assume that a jack with or without a hook would work for a 4x4 (where the top cradle would fit directly underneath the axle tube?) Is there any difference in total height does anyone know?
