Anything else needed for 241c rebuild?

Decided to just tap the vent hole and puts 1/8" npt fitting in. Got most of the case assembled and while there is barely enough clearance for the hose, I don't like it. Need to find a 90 elbow that will fit.

Still need to put pump housing on and tail housing. Sonnax retainer shipped today and front oil seal should be here tomorrow.

It works, 4lo very hard to shift into, but everything works and honestly i doubt i will have a need for 4lo.

Cool !!! Maybe 4 Lo might be easier to get into with a little use too. No binding linkage or anything like that? I've always found, putting the transmission into N and be completely stopped to get into 4LO makes it much easier.

That's what i ended up doing. Once i got into 4lo i could shift between N and 4lo easy, but the initial into 4lo is tough

You must have worn syncro teeth on either or probably both the range hub selector and input gear. Sorry bud

I had to change both when I did mine for exactly the same reason.

they didnt look worn. at this point i am not worried about it. 4hi works perfectly and i seriously doubt i will ever use 4lo ever again. :cheers:
