Squarebodies have the aerodynamic efficiency of a sheet of plywood and we're discussing the additional induced drag on an extra inch or two of wiper blade on the mounting pins? It's hard to make this stuff up. Put an LS (with 8 good cylinders) under the hood and you will forget all about your wiper woes.
well im not sure who you are talking at but I said what I said because of the the potential damage to the wiper plastic thats used to connect to the wiper arm

The pin is fine, its just a small little portion. bucket said hes not experienced that as a weak point, and cheap wipers have weaker adapters and most people here are talking about quality wipers

So seems like..you just wanted to make the LS swap recurring joke

2/10 low effort
i know you got at least a 6/10 or 7/10 retort, common!

I found the ANCO 48-12 Wiper Blade to Arm Adapters. The URL for them that I posted April 7 no longer works. All I can say is I found them at a Gilbert Supply store in BC. They also carry the Bosch Clear Advantage blades. We tried to install the adapter to the blade right on the counter. Didn't work, wouldn't fit!

So I got the ANCO Contour Wiper Blade C-18-UB, 18 Inch. it didn't come with any adapter. I was able to install the 48-12 adapter onto it, and it fit well, good and solid. Then, I could snap the adapter to the wiper arm good and solid, and the assembly works well. The 18" sweeps a large part of the windshield, and does not contact the window rubber. Of course, make sure the wiper arm is on the correct spline position on the splined hub thing on the cab.
