Anyone in/around Austin, TX available to help w/head gasket

Hey y'all, my '84 C1500 6.2 is leaking exhaust into the cooling system. I don't know yet whether it's the head gasket or a cracked head, but either way I can't afford shop prices and anyways I'd rather do it myself so I can learn. But I have neither the skills nor the confidence to do it alone... is anyone on here in the Austin, TX area and willing/able to help me do it? I would pay you, obviously. I'd appreciate any leads or advice anyone has!

I've never done a diesel but have done plenty of gas head gaskets. I also have tools and though I've been working on cars for 30 years, even my confidence is lacking right now. There are several other Austinites as well but not many of us have diesel experience. And I saw a 6.2 truck at Austin Wrench-A-Part.
